Ornamental grass with stiffly upright, 2-3 ft. tall x 2-3 ft. wide clumps of new, emerging, green foliage with bright yellow margins which fade to white with a pinkish blush. In summer, tall, feathery, pink inflorescences are produced. These change to a light purple color in early summer, then ripen into golden wheat-like sheaves by mid-summer, remaining attractive well into fall. Feather Reed grass is a good companion for Black-Eyed Susan or sedum. This is one of the few grasses that will thrive in wet clay. Space plants 2 ft. apart. Cut plants back in late winter or spring. Plant in full sun in ordinary or moist soil; is somewhat drought tolerant as well. We're sorry, but due to state regulations, this plant cannot be shipped to California, Colorado, or Mississippi.
